Where is SEDA College?

Our classrooms aren’t like those in most secondary schools, we have classrooms at sport, recreation and trade facilities, so students learn by being immersed in their chosen industry.

HSC AT SEDA

Completing the HSC is the cornerstone of the SEDA College curriculum.

The College provides a range of traditional HSC and VET units of study, utilising an applied learning approach to teaching. Students complete a curriculum that is built on 50% classroom theory work and 50% practical learning, through work placement and community based learning experiences.


Upon successful completion of the two years at SEDA College, students will achieve the following qualifications:

  • HSC
  • Certificate II & III in Sport and Recreation
  • Certificate II in Business Services
  • Sport specific coaching qualifications

Students travel to the program via public transport. SEDA College aims to develop students’ independence, confidence and time management skills and independent travel is part of this self-development.
SEDA College classes are structured to be delivered in an applied learning setting. Students complete their HSC and VET certificates, via a hands-on curriculum. Students complete their qualifications in the classroom, the workplace and the community.

Unfortunately, SEDA College does not have any boarding or accommodation facilities. While some students at SEDA College have relocated to undertake the program, this has been facilitated themselves through family, friends and other organisations.
No you will not receive an ATAR upon completion of the program, but our program offers many pathways for students into further education at TAFE or at University.
Upon successful completion of the two years at SEDA College, students will achieve the following qualifications: HSC, Certificate II in Business Services, Certificate III in Sport and Recreation, First Aid Certificate including CPR, Sport specific coaching qualifications.
Work placement or practical placement is a component of the program where students work for an employer one day per week. This is done individually and at an organisation/company of the student’s choosing. Clinic days are arranged by SEDA College and involve students running sport participation programs for a range of different community groups as a class.
