Scholarships


SEDA College NSW has an ongoing commitment to supporting promising young people and is fortunate to be able to offer scholarships and bursaries for entry into our Year 11 HSC Program.

SEDA COLLEGE NSW TWO BLUES RUGBY UNION SCHOLARSHIPS

In anticipation of our 2022 partnership launch, SEDA College NSW has partnered with Two Blues Rugby Union to offer up to 5 scholarships seeking to support exceptional young people who are interested in joining the Two Blues Rugby Union HSC Program.

The Two Blues Scholarship will provide partial fee relief (currently valued at $4,400 per year) and will be awarded for each of a successful applicant’s two years of study at the College ($8,800 total value).

The Two Blues Scholarships are aimed at supporting the following young people:

  • Students from any background where both parents have not completed Year 12, and/or;
  • Students who are economically disadvantaged.

Importantly, successful applicants don’t need to be straight-A students or elite sportspeople.
Recipients of the scholarship will be young people who would like to complete Year 12, make a positive contribution to the College and act as an ambassador on behalf of the College and the Two Blues Rugby Union Club.

SEDA COLLEGE NSW MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS

MERIT SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS FOR 2022 HAVE NOW CLOSED. DETAILS ON OUR 2023 SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM WILL BE AVAILABLE IN EARLY 2022.

SEDA College NSW Merit Scholarships seek to support outstanding all-rounders by awarding up to 3 partially funded scholarships in 2022. Merit Scholarships provide partial fee relief (currently valued at $4,400 per year) and will be awarded for each of a student’s two years of study at the College (total value $8,800).

Recipients of a SEDA College Merit Scholarship will be exceptional young people who have the potential to make a significant positive contribution to the College and act as an ambassador to the wider community.

Successful applicants don’t need to be straight-A students or elite sportspeople, but will be able to demonstrate their commitment to the College’s core values through a history of sporting involvement, community volunteering and academic accomplishments.

SEDA COLLEGE NSW KICKSTART AWARD

KICKSTART AWARD APPLICATIONS FOR 2022 HAVE NOW CLOSED. DETAILS ON OUR 2023 AWARD PROGRAM WILL BE AVAILABLE IN EARLY 2022.

The SEDA College Kickstart Award is a bursary that seeks to support students who may not otherwise be able to attend the College.

This award is aimed at supporting the following students so that they can complete Year 11 and 12 and achieve their HSC at SEDA College NSW:

  • Students of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent, and/or;
  • Students from any background where one or both parents have not completed Year 12, and/or;
  • Students who are economically disadvantaged.

In 2022, the Award provides bursaries for up to 5 fee-free positions ($6,100 value per year) and 2 partial fee relief positions ($4,100 value per year) at the College. Successful applicants will receive the bursary for both Year 11 and Year 12.

Recipients of the SEDA College Kickstart Award will be young people who have the potential to complete Year 12, make a positive contribution to the College and act as an ambassador for the College to the wider community.

How to apply

Scholarships are open to prospective students who have applied, been interviewed and have received an offer to study at SEDA College NSW.

Applicants should submit their scholarship application only once they have received an offer to study at the College.

Scholarship applications and all supporting documentation should be emailed to the SEDA College Finance Team by the above closing date.

Unsuccessful Applicants

The College has a genuine desire to help families afford a quality education for their children and therefore offers assistance to eligible families. Unsuccessful applicants are encouraged to refer to the College’s Fee Policy and contact the Finance Team for information on other fee reductions that may be available to families in need of financial assistance.
