Western Sydney Wanderers HSC Program

western sydney wanderers youth academy

The Western Sydney Wanderers HSC Program is delivered in partnership with the Western Sydney Wanderers. Students learn from staff within the organisation and are involved in participation programs, major events, practical placement and other industry experiences.

“My work placement at the Wanderers has provided me experience across various departments within the club including community, corporate and merchandising. My main responsibilities were in the organisation and facilitation of the Wanderers Schools Cup, coordinating 8 tournaments with over 100 schools participating across all the days. I also delivered football clinics at various primary schools with club representative, former player and inaugural club captain, Michael Beauchamp.

The experiences have enabled me to grow both personally and professionally. I developed my interpersonal, communication, organisation and leadership skills as I have had to work with a range of different people and work as part of a team to ensure the successful implementation of events.”Cooper
