In addition to coaching qualifications, our partnership with Netball NSW means that students have opportunities to be involved in a range of netball programs and events, including:

• Delivering netball clinics in primary schools and community settings
• Coaching participants in the Net Set GO! program
• Volunteering to provide administrative assistance at state tournaments and seminars
• Volunteering for match day assistance with the Sydney Swifts
• Game day experiences with the NSW Giants and the Sydney Swifts
• Assisting with weekly Metro and Premier League competitions at Netball Central
• Work placement opportunities across a variety of departments at Netball NSW, including game development, administration, events and fan development

“I had the exciting opportunity to assist with the running of the Netball NSW Premier League and Metro League competitions on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. My role was to distribute equipment to every court including netballs and timers as well as manage and update the scoreboard during games. I also had the experience of recording markups and shooting stats for every player and the responsibility of updating the scores on the website.

The Netball NSW staff were very kind and committed to their jobs and were great role models for me. The experience has helped me develop my confidence and other important skills like communicating in a professional environment, critical thinking, and perseverance. I really enjoyed the opportunity to work with the team organizing and managing these competitions.”
